Youth Programs
Homework Club
Homework Club is a safe place where kids can come and partake in fun interactive activities while getting homework tutoring and academic advocacy. Our program runs Monday through Wednesday, 3pm-4:30pm.
At Homework Club, we are actively engaged with participant’s schools to ensure that we are supporting the work that is being done in the classroom. We are able to do this through partnerships with local universities including Holy Cross, Assumption, Worcester State, and Clark University. College volunteers and interns provide students with academic assistance and homework help 3 days a week. Our program offers a variety of activities to maintain a fun environment that helps kids feel welcomed and give them a sense of belonging, some of which include:
-Arts & Crafts
-Games
-Recreational outdoor activities
-Field trips to the Aquarium, Boston Children’s Museum, Trampoline parks, and more.
-Family Outings
-Summer programs
High School “Step Up” Program
Step Up Youth program is an afterschool program for youth ages 13 through 17. Our program offers homework tutoring, and life skills lessons. Through active learning, youth also partake in a variety of service projects that promote awareness of community issues and instill a sense of pride. Additionally, youth participate in career outings, as well as recreational trips to promote teamwork and inspire the possibilities for life after high school.
Our program runs in 2 tracks: Thursdays for our middle school group and Fridays for our high school group both days run from 3pm to 4:30pm.
For more information on these programs, please contact our Youth Coordinator.
